The History Of Usui Reiki
Reiki (ray-key) is a natural healing technique that makes use of the laying-on of hands. It originated in part with the Ling Chi of the Chinese Taoists and the Tibetan Norbu-Linka over 5,000 years ago. Reiki was re-discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Christian Minister in the 1800's. It was his purpose to find how Christ healed the sick. During his ten year quest, he studied the teachings of Christ, and the sacred literature of Japan, China, India and Tibet. At the end of his quest, the complete system of Reiki came to him during a mystical experience on the Holy Mountain of Koriyama.

What is Usui Reiki?
The work Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei and Ki. Rei means supernatural force or spiritual intelligence, Ki means life energy. Thus, Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy.

What is a Reiki Treatment?
Reiki is given by the laying-on of hands. A standard treatment includes placing the hands on positions around the head, shoulders, stomach and feet. In addition, the practitioner may use other positions for specific conditions that the client may have. Each position is held for a short period of time, and the entire treatment lasts approximately 45 minutes. A treatment creates a wonderful glowing radiance that is deeply relaxing and includes many beneficial affects for both client and practitioner.

What can Reiki treat?
Reiki is both powerful and gentle, and in its long history of use, has aided in healing virtually every known illness and injury including serious problems like cancer and heart disease as well as skin problems, cuts, broken bones, headaches, colds, sunburn, insect bites, insomnia, impotence, lack of confidence, etc.

How does Reiki work?
Reiki is an amazing energy that comes directly from the highest spiritual source. It has its own intelligence and knows exactly where to go and what to do. It is multi-dimensional and will heal the cause of a problem on whatever level it may exist - body, mind, or spirit. It does not have to be directed by the practitioner. It is a very simple yet powerful process that can be learned by anyone. Because it is a channeled healing, the Reiki practitioner's energies are never depleted. In fact, when giving a treatment, the Reiki practitioner is healed as well and always experiences an increase in life force energy. People that already do healing work report their healing energies increase by at least 50% after receiving Reiki.

Is it a Reiki Religion?
While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a Religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to benefit from the use of Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not.

This class is for those who do not intend to teach Usui Reiki but wish to attain the Master 111 Level for the healing of themselves as well as others. In the class we will devote a lot’s of time to help you create a new life. We will do meditations, which will guide you to be more aware of your inner, self and how it works. We will also spend time helping you develop better life goals. We will then program these goals into the chraka system via the healing attunement process.

Students that have taken this class report that they have had life-changing experiences. They say that by going through the class that they are better to identify what they want to accomplish in their life and how they want their life to be enhanced.

This class is for those who wish to become teachers. We will spend time on the attunement processes of all the levels of Usui Reiki. We will also devote time to the marketing and politics of Reiki. We will discuss the ethics and integrity of teaching of Reiki. We will also talk about how Reiki has evolved over the years and what impact that Reiki will have on humanity and the planet as a whole through the new millennium. After taking this class you will be qualified to teach all levels of Usui Reiki. Subtle Energies can and will provide you with support, manuals and certifications for your students.
